Boiler Maintenance

Course Overview
Industries that own or use boilers in their production engage Energy Commission (EC) certified personnel to maintain electrical systems. Boilers consume electricity only during start-up but contribute significantly to electricity generation during normal operation. All of the boiler’s mechanical components, flue gas system, fuel plant system, and burner system require proper maintenance to ensure smooth and safe operation. The Factories and Machinery Act 1967 prescribes that certain machinery must not be operated without certified staff. This course introduces participants to the processes involved in maintaining boiler mechanical components, flue gas systems, fuel plant systems, and burner systems, including servicing, repairing, and testing activities. It also covers boiler normal and annual inspections in accordance with applicable regulations.
